ASSOCIATE INTENSIVE PROGRAM

The Associate Intensive Program (AIP) fosters pathways for young talented students who aspire to pursue a professional career in classical ballet by providing them with access to our world class training, faculty, facilities and opportunities. It provides external international, interstate and regional Victorian students the opportunity to work amongst our high-aptitude peers, offering them access to our training programs where they can benefit from our highly skilled faculty and teaching methodology.

The program is designed for students who wish to extend themselves however live geographically far and are unable to train at MAARTS on a regular basis. Successfully accepted applicants are offered the unique opportunity to train at the Academy on pre-organised and mutually convenient times throughout the year in a level that is best suited to their standard. Aside from the training and social experiences gained, Involvement in the AIP introduces successful applicants to the Academy’s culture, community and its unique training programme. AIP students are also offered private coaching sessions with any of our wonderful faculty members and will also be offered priority booking opportunities and/or discounted rates to our workshops/performances.

Students who have a passion for dance and wish to enhance and compliment their current training program to achieve further results are encouraged to apply. Places are strictly limited by number and successful applicants are offered an AIP position for a full year from the time of acceptance and must re-audition to continue in the following year. Acceptance into AIP does not guarantee any acceptance into the Academy’s Part-Time or Full-Time Programs. To be considered for enrolment in each subsequent year (subject to the discretion of the Director), AIP students must participate in at least one training opportunity each year.
