Entry into this program is via audition only and follows a selective audition process.

After school classes in all dance genres for ages 2 to adult. The Academy’s speciality is classical ballet, our creatively driven & individualised training programs are designed to take students from their first introduction to movement through a full course of ballet & dance study. Our after school program classes provide our students with holistic and structured ballet training necessary in building fundamental skills, confidence, and creativity in our young dancers. This program offers students with a specialised curriculum of ballet training, while aiming to develop the whole dancer through supplemental classes in other dance styles and a focus on developing necessary and essential life skills in our pupils.

Entry into these programs is via audition only.

The CEP program offers selective and serious-minded part time and transition students who are dedicated to elevating their artistry and technique with additional intensive training designed to have no more than 10 students per class. The program is devised by Miss Stefkovski, using the Vaganova method of training and insight from an amalgamation of all her qualifications in many methods and syllabi and focuses on the methodology and execution of each movement in great detail.

This program is suitable for students ages 5 years and above who demonstrate potential to pursue a professional career in classical ballet. Entry is via audition and annual assessment or re-audition.

Melbourne Academy of the Arts understand and value that it is important to learn different types of dance styles and genres and offer varied pathways for students to use their skills throughout the year. With this in mind the Academy provides extracurricular events as ways for students to apply such knowledge and skills outside of the regular classroom setting.

These extra curricular events also aid in community building and allow the students to work with external students from other schools, including international schools, or via attending internal Academy events or externally run third party events. Our students gain access to train & work with world renown and international industry professionals. They are showcased to such professionals throughout the year with internal examinations, assessments auditions, workshops, master classes and productions.
